September 26, 2019 - The five foothill 4-H counties along with San Joaquin County 4-H will have 4-H members representing their county at the Ironstone Concours D’Elegance slated for Saturday, September 28, 2019 at the Ironstone Vineyards in Murphys. Also attending will be a few of our 4-H State Ambassadors.
This is the 23rd year that The Ironstone 4-H Foundation has put on this vintage car show. Proceeds from the Ironstone Concours D’Elegance benefit Central and Northern California youth in agriculture, notably Future Farmers of America (FFA) and 4-H Youth Development Programs. In addition, the non-profit Ironstone Foundation has helped fund the California State FFA headquarters in Galt, California; scholarships in partnership with the California State Fair; and the Calaveras County Fair scholarship program. Their campership funds have helped with our local 4-H Camp Tweety and they have given donations to our 4-H Club Council to support our local 4-H activities.
The 2019 event will include on-site interactive activities for family members of all ages. Along with fine food, music, and special guests, the 2019 Ironstone Concours will include live demonstrations from the Future Farmers of America and members of the 4-H showing off their award-winning animals, public speaking, giving demonstrations, impromptu speeches, and presenting special gifts to the car winners.
