October 10, 2019 – Rural counties face unique issues that never affect California cities. This means rural government representatives have to work harder to have their voices heard. To help identify issues and offer solutions, the California Democratic Party created the Rural Caucus.
Lise Talbot of Waterford serves on the executive board of the Rural Caucus and she will address the next meeting of the Mariposa Democratic Club to let everyone know what they are working on and hear local concerns.
One of the main concerns at the moment is the homeowner’s insurance crisis and Talbot will share what the caucus is doing about it.
The meeting is slated for Saturday, October 12, 9:30 A.M. at Miners Roadhouse.
The gathering is a good time to meet other Democrats in Mariposa County and socialize. There is no charge to attend. Free coffee and tea are provided. If you would like to order breakfast for yourself plan to be there at 9:00 A.M.
