October 28, 2019 - The Madera County Sheriff's Office update on the Public Safety Power Shut Off.

Public Safety Power Shut Off

PG&E UPDATE: 10/28 2:15 P.M.

PSPS ADVISORY Eastern Madera County is being placed under a new PG&E PSPS Advisory.

PG&E is currently monitoring another possible significant wind event forecasted for 10/29 which could potentially result in continued public safety power shut offs in some parts of Madera County.

In preparation for potential ongoing outages, we recommend residents make arrangements to be without power for an additional 12-48 hours.

PG&E crews are actively inspecting and repairing lines in an effort to restore power for residents who are currently without power, however, some residents may remain out of power through the duration of the next PSPS.

Specific geographic impacts are not known at this time, but will be relayed as soon as we receive further details.

This Advisory is currently being issued as a planning method only. As always, we will update you as soon as information becomes available.
