Public Safety Power Shut Off - PG&E UPDATE: 10/29 1745- Power has been successfully restored in 85% of Madera County.
PG&E inspection efforts will continue this evening, with ongoing restoration through 10pm. Those who remain without power at that time should expect to be de-energized through the night. PG&E line patrols will resume around 6am. Pocket areas of Bass Lake Annex and Cascadel Woods are expected to have power restored by dusk tomorrow (10/30).
We will continue to increase staffing to provide support in the affected areas. The Community Resource Center at 48267 Liberty Dr in Oakhurst will reopen tomorrow morning at 8am. The Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line is staffed 24/7 at (559) 675-7770. As always, we will provide more information as soon as it’s available to us. Public Safety Power Shut Off - PG&E Spoiled Food Waste Disposal Sites- In an effort to support residents who have been impacted by the PSPS outages, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services is partnering with Madera County Public Works to provide disposal locations for spoiled food waste resulting from de-energization.
Starting at 2pm today (10/29), residents may bring spoiled food waste to the MCSO Substation at 48267 Liberty Dr in Oakhurst.
Residents may also take spoiled food waste directly to the North Fork Transfer Station at 33699 Road 274, North Fork. ID and proof of residence will be required.
Services at both locations are limited to •spoiled food waste• resulting from PSPS outages. Sites will be monitored, and anything outside of those guidelines may be refused.

UPDATE: 10/29 1245-The latest restoration update for Madera County shows 70% of the county has been restored, including 77% of the medical baseline customers and 68% of critical facilities. There was damage discovered on some of our infrastructure in the higher elevations that needs to be repaired prior to re-energization. Crews are diligently working on restoration again today, however, some may not be restored until 1:00pm tomorrow (10/30) barring any further repairs from damage. PG&E UPDATE: 10/29 - 8:30 A.M. - As of now, 68% of power restoration has been completed. PG&E line patrols have resumed this morning, with the goal of complete restoration of power as soon as possible. The Community Resource Center at 48267 Liberty Dr in Oakhurst is open this morning. The Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line is staffed 24/7 at (559) 675-7770. As always, we will provide more information as soon as it’s available to us. October 29, 2019 - Mariposa County Sheriff's Office reported on Monday afternoon the following:
PG&E has confirmed that Mariposa County will NOT be affected by the PSPS potentially planned for Tuesday, October 29.
PG&E Continues to repair damaged distribution and transmission lines that feed Mariposa County.
At this time we still have no Estimated Time of Restoration for those currently without power.

Madera County Sheriff's Office reports current information from PG&E as of Monday evening indicates that Madera County is NOT in the scope of the next round of PSPS outages.
Though conditions could change at any time, we are not forecasted to be impacted.
We are lifting the advisory status.
