November 2, 2019 - BAKERSFIELD – Special Agents from California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Office of Correctional (OCS) Safety Special Services Unit (SSU), Fugitive Apprehension 123456Team, and local law enforcement apprehended a minimum-security inmate who walked away from the Sierra Conservation Center (SCC) Baseline Conservation Camp, in Tuolumne County on Oct. 30, 2019.

On Nov. 1, 2019, at approximately 8:55 p.m. , Inmate Jason Stout, 40, was taken into custody by OCS and SSU agents, in coordination with local law enforcement in Oildale, California.

Stout will be transported to North Kern State Prison, and will no longer be eligible to be housed in a conservation camp.

He was received on June 20, 2014, from Los Angeles County to serve a sentence of 12 years and eight months for first-degree burglary. He was scheduled to parole in November 2021.

Since 1977, 99 percent of all offenders who have left an adult institution, camp, or community-based program without permission have been apprehended.
