Come hear the perspective and insights of Mark Arax, best-selling author and expert on these two phenomena, who will be speaking at the Mariposa County Government Center (BOS) on Saturday, November 9 at 1:00 P.M.  A longtime resident of the Central Valley, his new book The Dreamt Land examines, in the words of the Wall Street Journal, "California’s long-building water crisis with the keen, loving, troubled eye of a native son.”

Mark will discuss this book as well as his latest article in the California Sunday Magazine on the Paradise fire.  He examines the causes and consequences of one of the worst wildfires in California’s history.  He does not shy from controversy, to put it mildly.  He is also a dynamic speaker.
