Scholarship applications are now available online until November 15, 2019
for the Soroptimist Live Your Dream Scholarship Award!
November 7, 2019 - Oakhurst, CA. – Do you need money for college, online college or vocational school? Soroptimist International of The Sierras is seeking applicants for the 2019-2020 Live Your Dream College Scholarship Awards. The deadline to apply online is Friday, November 15, 2019.

Please use 93644 and choose "The Sierras" club to apply for our local Oakhurst area club awards. Have a friend or family member outside our mountain area? Then, have them use their zip code as this award is available to USA and Canada residents. Using their local zip code will find a club near them if available.

The 2019-2020 Women Awards Luncheon will take place in April 16, 2020 and will include the Live Your Dream Scholarship Awards, Women of Distinction and Women Helping Women Awards.
"This annual luncheon held each year on the third Thursday in April is an important part of our local club and mission statement where we inspire and create opportunities to transform the lives of women with over $3,300. in scholarship monies. By empowering women and girls through access to education and skills training, the lives of individuals, families, and whole communities can be improved. This money is raised at our Fall Chili Cook Off and Spring Soup and Salad Luncheon events and it is such a joy to see the difference this makes in the individuals in our local community." said Joelle Leder-Rule, Live Your Dream Program Chair and Club President of Soroptimist International of The Sierras.
Are you eligible? To qualify one must be the primary financial support for themselves and/or their dependents, attending a vocational training or undergraduate degree program, have financial need and be motivated to achieve their educational goals.
