December 1, 2019 - The Madera County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) reports Elyjah Hussey was arrested on Saturday morning in Ahwahnee for multiple felony charges including domestic violence, child endangerment, and firing a handgun in a gross negligent manner near a residence.
On Saturday, November 30, 2019 shortly after 8:30 A.M. MCSO Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 45000 block of Road 621 in Ahwahnee for a reported incident of domestic violence with injuries. It was also reported that a firearm was fired sometime during this incident. As deputies were responding to the scene, they spotted the suspect and his vehicle near Highway 49 and Vista Del Rio Road. Highway 49 was briefly shut down as deputies performed a high risk vehicle stop.
Elyjah Hussey, 22, of Ahwahnee, was arrested without incident. Several firearms were found in his vehicle, including the one that was fired at the residence.
Hussey was booked into the Madera County Department of Corrections and is facing multiple felony charges of domestic violence, child endangerment, and firing a handgun in a gross negligent manner near a residence.
