Come Together at Mariposa County Courthouse Park 

December 16, 2019 - Mariposa, CA — On Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 5:30 P.M. local time, the night before the U.S. House of Representatives votes to impeach Donald Trump for high crimes and misdemeanors, citizens will gather at the Mariposa County Courthouse Park as part of nationwide “Nobody Is Above the Law” rallies. The event in Mariposa will be one of the hundreds of actions occurring nationwide.

This is a solemn occasion, as the President of our country is being charged with egregious failure to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America.

This is meant to be a quiet, somber event open to all who wish to come together. Contrary to other rallies being held, this is NOT a protest, but simply a commemoration of an historic event.

We are offering a space for all to come together to quietly and respectfully commemorate this effort to DEFEND OUR DEMOCRACY.

Community members are invited to share their feelings; music and song are also welcome.

Anyone wishing to come to the Mariposa County Courthouse Park should bring flashlights or electric candles, and lawn chairs if they would like to sit.
