December 27, 2019 - American Farm Bureau Federation President Zippy Duvall on December 19th made the following statement:
“Today’s final rule provides an uptick in biofuel targets and signals an intent by the Environmental Protection Agency to account for lost demand caused by small refinery exemptions. While that’s positive, we are eager to see the agency fulfill its commitments going forward. Farmers and ranchers expected the agency to accurately account for actual waived gallons, not those recommended by the Department of Energy. We hope the EPA will follow through in protecting the integrity of the Renewable Fuel Standard, as it has been an extremely successful policy for America.”
