January 6, 2020 - Are you or someone you know looking to become a Wildland Firefighter? Are you looking for a career, not just a "job"? Do you want to have the opportunity to work hard, get dirty, and travel across the country?
Yosemite Adult School, in cooperation with the U.S. Forest Service, will be offering a Wildland Fire Academy. This course is Free of Charge. The academy is scheduled for January 24, 25, 26, 31 and February 1, 2, 2020. Friday classes are from 4:30 P.M. to 9:30 P.M. Saturday and Sunday classes are 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
After completion of this 40 hour course you will earn National Wildland Fire Coordinating Group (NWCG ) S-130, L-180, and S-190 certificates.
