January 15, 2020 - L. Anne Molin has had more than 55 poems published, including her prize-winning poem, “Mayfly”, which she read at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco.  “My mother was a poet and I always thought it skipped a generation as I was over 50 when my first poem was published. Now I have nearly 100 poems in print!”, she stated.

The workshop is scheduled for Saturday, January 18 and Saturday January 25, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 Noon at the Oakhurst Branch Library and will be held in the Library Community Room 49044 Civic Circle Drive.

A native Californian, Anne has also lived in Canada and France.  Her poetic voice drinks deeply of nature, including human nature.  The surprising and quirky also delights her and inspires much of her poetry.  She is a sustaining member of the Ina Coolbrith Circle, Poets West and Brevities.  She has performed on the radio in Seattle and at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco  Anne has taught with California Teachers in the schools and ran the Madera County chapter of Poetry Out Loud, taking champions to Sacramento to recite in the State Senate Chamber there.

Ms. Molin will focus on poetry – how to write it, turn your story into memorable poetry, and how to get your work published.  She will guide attendees through the process. The workshop is intended for adults or responsible teens and is limited to a maximum of 15 attendees.

The free presentation is sponsored by the Friends of the Oakhurst Branch Library.  For more information, call (559) 683-4838.
