February 16, 2020 - Join Progressive Mariposa in welcoming Sean Frame, co-founder of El Dorado Progressives and The Six PAC, to their next general meeting on Sunday, February 23, 2020. The meeting will be held at 10:00 A.M. in Mariposa County Library’s Community Room located at 4978 10th St., Mariposa, CA 95338.

Sean returns as our Special Guest to discuss The Six PAC and what he learned during his recent campaign for Congress in our Congressional District 4.

Sean FrameSean lives in Placerville, El Dorado County, with wife Ellyn Donovan and sons Colin and Everett. He’s been on the Placerville Union School Board for 9 years where he and his fellow board members oversee the education of over 1300 local kids and manage a budget of $12 million. In that role, he has become an education policy expert having completed the California School Boards Association Masters in Governance Program.

Sean also owns a film production company. He knows how to listen to somebody’s story, draw out those magic kernels of truth that each of us has to share, and to express those stories powerfully. Most recently, he has been combining that expertise with his experience as a candidate to create powerful media for select candidates.

Sean is still an activist and organizer, working with the group he co-founded, El Dorado Progressives, and retaining a seat on the Steering Committee. He is currently considering board positions with other regional Democratic Clubs and organizations. He is also doing pre-canvassing for the state of California's effort to make sure everyone in our state is counted in the US Census.

As a former candidate for Congress in CA-04, he is taking what he learned and is using it to help other candidates. His first action after the campaign was complete was to convert his Federal Candidate Committee into a PAC. This PAC, called The Six PAC, has the mission of helping six rural progressive candidates for Congress raise funds. Their initial plan is to do joint fundraising emails, and, if they raise enough funds as a PAC, to directly donate to those six candidates. They are accepting no corporate funds for this PAC, and a committee of five people--3 women and 2 men--work on candidate selection.
