Explained Saturday by Dr Eric Sergienko 

Update: March 13; The Saturday morning meeting at Miners Roadhouse featuring Dr. Eric Sergienko speaking about Covid-19 has been cancelled following recommendations from the State Health Department.

March 11, 2020 - Concern about the new COVID-19 virus has many on edge and to allay fears County Health Officer Dr. Eric Sergienko will present the facts and take questions from the community this Saturday, March 14 at 9:30 A.M., in the Miner’s Roadhouse meeting room.

Working with the state offices and the CDC, Dr. Sergienko has up to the minute information on everything you might want to know about the virus. He and his team have been working on preparing healthcare facilities and first responders, community mitigation strategies, business preparedness and continuity planning, and individual everyday prevention activities to help keep you healthy

Dr. Sergienko became the Mariposa County Health Officer a few years ago after a distinguished career in the US Navy.  His mission at the county department is to protect and promote the health, safety, and environment of the community by preventing and controlling diseases, environmental hazards, injury and disability, and by educating and promoting healthier lifestyles.
