March 16, 2020 - The Superior Court of Mariposa County continues to closely monitor the evolving COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation. The court is following the guidance provided by the Judicial Council, the California Department of Public Health, the Mariposa County Department of Public Health, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to limit the spread of the virus.

If you are currently experiencing flu-like symptoms, such as fever, cough and/or shortness of breath, please consider the following options that are available to minimize your need to come to the courthouse:

• Contact your attorney so that he or she can request a continuance.

• Contact the court by email at COVID19@mariposacourt.org or telephone the court between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at (209) 966-2005 and let us know who you are, your case number (if you know it), and when you are scheduled for court.

• Telephonic appearances are available in most Civil and Probate cases. You may arrange a telephonic appearance by calling Court Call at 1-888-88COURT.

• Traffic Trials by Declaration: Traffic tickets can be contested through a formal written process. Details on how to do this are available on the court’s website or by calling the Court Clerk’s Office at (209) 966-2005.

• Traffic tickets and criminal fines can be paid online or by mail. Details are available on the court’s website or by calling the Court’s Collection Office at (209) 966-5711.
