March 16, 2020 - Due to the increasingly serious Covid-19 situation and the fact that the Mother Lode Jewish Community has many members at high risk of complications from the infection, all events through the end of April were canceled effective March 9^th.  A determination about May events will be made in April depending on the situation at that time.  This includes Purim, Passover, as well as all other services, seminars and gatherings previously scheduled during these busy months. 

We appreciate the supportive responses we have received from members and service providers.  We encourage everyone to remain as isolated as possible, and hope that the various closures help minimize the potential impact of COVID-19 on everyone in the community.  If anyone needs someone to talk to or has a special need, do not hesitate to contact us at call (209) 533-1650 or email us at motherlodejc@yahoo.com.  

The MLJC’s mission is to provide opportunities and events that nurture a vibrant and enduring Jewish identity, culture and community in the Mother Lode.  The group draws its members from Amador, Calaveras, Mariposa and Tuolumne counties.
