March 19, 2020 - We continue to approach the COVID-19 pandemic with a targeted calm, organized approach.
At this time with updated guidance and in collaboration with our federal, state, and local partners, Mariposa County Unified School District will extend the cancelation of classes and all school-related activities from Monday, March 16th through April 10th. We will continue to honor our regularly scheduled Spring Break from April 13th-17th. Schools will prepare to reopen Monday, April 20th, unless conditions call for an extension.
This extension will provide an opportunity for staff to provide additional guidance, support, and resources to our students, staff, and parents. We believe this extension will provide appropriate time to plan and prepare for all the challenges that come with an extended closure.
Our District team is currently working on plans to provide additional guidance and support for students, staff, and parents, and will be providing that guidance and support in the next few days.
Our team is committed to maintaining regular and ongoing communication as we gain information and make the necessary adjustments. We appreciate your flexibility and patience during this time.
Sincerely,
Jeff Aranguena
Superintendent
