April 4, 2020 - The National Weather Service Hanford Office reports a Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the Southern Sierra Nevada above 4,500 feet from 8:00 A.M. Sunday morning until 5:00 P.M. Monday afternoon.
The majority of this snow will fall Sunday afternoon and Sunday night.
Winds could gust as high as 50 mph on exposed ridgetops and near the crest.
If you plan to travel, consider alternate strategies. If you must travel, remember to carry tire chains, plenty of food, a good deal of water, and warm clothing in your vehicle.
