May 7, 2020 - California Public Utilities Commission update on the Residential Electric California Climate Credit.
Your electric California Climate Credit might arrive early this year! In order to mitigate the effects of increased residential electric bills that are likely to result due to the Governor's March 19, 2020 stay-at-home order and provide residential customers increased opportunity to invest in energy-savings products, CPUC has directed PG&E and SCE to split their October Climate Credit in half and distribute half to their customers in May and half in June of 2020.
2020 Electric California Climate Credit Schedule
April | May | June | July | Aug | Sept | Oct
PG&E | $35.73 | $17.87 | $17.86
SCE | $37.00 | $18.50 | $18.50
SDG&E | $32.28 | $32.38 | |||||
Liberty | $29.46 | $29.46 | |||||
Pacific Power |
$159.67 | $159.67 |
SDG&E customers were already receiving their credits earlier this year, in August and September. The CPUC is currently evaluating if customers of Liberty and Pacific Power would also benefit from receiving their fall California Climate Credit earlier this year. We'll update this website as soon as more information is available.
