I am very pleased to share MCUSD’s Distance Learning Plan for the 2020-2021 school year. Under the current Mariposa County Public Health Department guidelines, the Distance Learning Plan outlines the essential information you will need for the start of this academic year, with site specific information that will be released and provided by your specific school site administrator and teacher, in the coming days.
I want to reiterate that our team continues to plan for blended, in-person learning, as we look at the next phase of our reopening of campuses. Our primary objective is to re-enter to school and provide in-person learning, safely and effectively. We believe we can achieve this by maintaining small class sizes/cohorts and using creative learning spaces. We continue to create and build our foundation for both Distance Learning while preparing for returning to part time in-person learning, and ultimately a full return to our traditional model.
I want to extend my gratitude to our Governing Board, Leadership Team, staff, Union partners, parents and students for their support through this challenging time. I also want to thank the school staff and the families that have been patient, supportive, and encouraging. It is a testament to Mariposa’s resilience that we remain focused on our students during these unprecedented times.
