Congratulations to Sierra Foothill Charter School teacher Teena Starchman for winning a $700 Target Field Trip Grant. Starchman (back row, right) will use this to take her third and fourth graders to the Yosemite Museum in Yosemite National Park in May where they will have the chance to experience what life was like for Yosemite's native Miwok and Paiute people from 1850 to the present. This fits in perfectly with the history standards they are studying this year. Parent volunteer Jill Harry wrote the grant.
