Update 2:40 P.M.: Madera County Sheriff's Office: Evacuation Order Lifted M4A
Evacuation Orders for M4A have been reduced to Evacuation Warnings. Residents in the area need to be aware that there is still a potential for evacuations and need to be prepared to evacuate at a moments notice. Citizens need to monitor the situation and be prepared to take action immediately. These areas are being opened to residents only. Italian Bar Road between Road 225 and Madera/Fresno County Line including all spur roads such as Road 235, Tooth Acres Way, Redinger Way, Italian Bar Road, Happy Oaks Lane, Old Oaks Court, Whiskey Trail. There will be no access into Fresno County on Italian Bar Road.
Update 2:40 P.M.: Madera County Sheriff's Office: Evacuation Warnings Lifted for M13, M14, M27, M28, M34, M35, M42, & M43
The Madera County Sheriff's Office is pleased to announce the evacuation warnings for Evacuation Zones M13 Carmen Ranch Road, M14 Ciatana Creek Road, M27 Wyle Ranch Road, M28 Road 224 Area, M34 Road 200 and Road 221 Area, M35 Road 221 and Road 226 Area, M42 O’Neals, and M43 Walker Grade have been lifted. September 17, 2020 - Overnight infrared mapping has the Creek Fire at 244,756 Interpreted Acres.
Comments and notes on flight:
The majority of the growth is off the northern end in all divisions, particularly G and I filled in and M continued north. Div N spread both north and south. Gaps in Divisions E and P have filled in. The fire is growth towards Tollhouse in Div W and has not reached the burnback line. Div Z and A did not have much growth. The interior is cooling and our method is to move toward picking out isolated heat points while retaining scattered heat where the points would be extremely dense.
Wednesday Evening Update: 228,025 acres and 18% containment.
