On March 10, 2015 Congressman Tom McClintock held a Town Hall Meeting in Mariposa. The Congressman answers questions from the public on Desalination, the EPA and the Unemployment Rate.
Congressman McClintock said they publish a number different of unemployment rates but the main published number is misleading to the public and the number is really around 14%-15%. Also the labor participation rate is the lowest in 37 years. All the numbers do exist and are reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
The Congressman said the EPA regulations does not need to be "gut" but just have some common sense provisions in it. The toads and frogs have a virus that is causing havoc on the their population and shutting out humans will not affect them.
Congressman Mcclintock said desalination is very expensive and that in this area we do not lack water we lack water storage.
