Madera Swat TeamUpdate for 3:00 P.M.: Shelter in Place for All effected locations along CA 41 within a limited radius of the 42100 block can resume normal activities.

Update 2:20 P.M.: MCSO and the Madera County Regional SWAT team safely concluded the incident at the Mountain Trail Lodge by taking the barricaded subject into custody without incident. Highway 41 will be open to normal traffic shortly. MCSO would like to thank the Oakhurst community for they cooperation during this incident.


Update: The Madera County Regional SWAT team is on scene at the Mountain Trail Lodge in regards to a barricaded subject. Due to this law enforcement activity Highway 41 is closed between Road 222 and Empty Creek.

We ask homeowners in the area to remain indoors and shelter in place. Please avoid the area as we work to bring this situation to a safe conclusion as quickly as possible.
