On Tuesday, March 3, local children's book author Michael Ross visited the Sierra Foothill Charter School campus and spoke with students in preschool through eighth grade. Mr. Ross gave three separate presentations appealing to the various age groups talking about his work as a naturalist and the many books he has written on world cultures, bugs, children as scientists, and cycles of the earth, life, body, as well as recycling. The students were very engaged in learning about the process of being an author. The idea that they are learning to be writers really came through to them.
