November 10, 2020 - MARIPOSA- CAL FIRE Madera- Mariposa -Merced Unit will be conducting a vegetation management training burn on Wednesday, November 11th. The training burn will take 
place on the Grupe Ranch located on Oak Grove Road.
The training will consist of burning 160 acres of annual grass, oak woodland and sparse brush.
The purpose of the burn is to train firefighting personnel in firing strategies and tactics.
The management fire will improve rangelands by promoting annual grasses, reduce fuel loading and ladder fuels.
