November 28, 2020 - Mariposa County has officially moved backward into the Red Tier. This is due to our case rate exceeding the 14 cases per week metric.

What does this mean?

We spent some time to highlight the changes to local business sectors:

➡️Bars & Breweries (no food) - Closed.

➡️Family Entertainment Centers - Open outdoors only.

➡️Fitness Centers - Open indoors at 10% of capacity.

➡️Lodging - Single occupancy units required to have a 24-hour rest period. Multiple-unit facilities must have either a 24-hour rest period or 70% occupancy over a 7-day period, fitness centers open at 10%, indoor pools and spas must close.

➡️Museums - Open indoors at 25% capacity.

➡️Offices - Remote only.

➡️Places of Worship - Open indoors at 25% capacity or 100 people, whichever is fewer.

➡️Restaurants & Bars Serving Food - Open indoors at 25% capacity or 100 people, whichever is fewer.

➡️Retail - Open indoors at 50% capacity.

➡️Wineries - Open outdoors only.

How can you help us to move back to the Orange Tier?

➡️Focus on the basics to reduce the spread. Wash your hands, wear your masks, practice social distancing, avoid gatherings, and stay home if you are sick.

➡️Get tested regularly. We have seen a big increase in individuals getting tested at the state-sponsored testing site, which is common to see after a spike in cases. Make sure that you continue to test regularly, especially if you interact with others.

➡️Make smart choices. We have seen an increase in higher risk behaviors. Remember to stay vigilant in slowing the spread.
