Update: We have started patrols in some of the areas affected by the Public Safety Power Shutoff. Those patrols are primarily performed in daylight, but if possible we will restore customers as each circuit is cleared. Our outage numbers will change throughout the evening based on both PSPS restorations and repair work for customers affected by storm damage.

Here our the current outage numbers: Fresno Division – 2,757 & Yosemite Division – 20,287.

January 19, 2021 – Below is a message from Pacific Gas and Electric Company on the current power outages.

PGE logoToday we are responding to two types of outages related to the strong wind storm that is moving through our service territory.

First, we have initiated a targeted Public Safety Power Shutoff for select areas of several counties locally. Those counties are highlighted below. The first column shows the date (today primarily) and time we de-energized these customers. The second column shows our estimated time to restore those customers and the third column shows the customer count.

In total, this event The PSPS event will affect approximately 5,200 customer accounts including 282 Medical Baseline customers in seven counties in Central California.

Two main factors led to this Public Safety Power Shutoff, high wind speeds that could cause flying debris to damage power lines, and extremely dry vegetation.
