January 23, 2021 - Yosemite National Park officials reported "Alice" Yu Xie as a missing person in the park last week. She was reported overdue on Friday, January 15, 2021 after planning to hike to the top of Yosemite Falls.

It has now been reported that searchers found her deceased at the base of Upper Yosemite Fall on Saturday, January 16.

Her next of kin have been notified.
