The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with refreshments provided by local bakers. Brian Bullis, Fairgrounds Manager, will give a short presentation on the state of the fairgrounds followed by an update from Mariposa Friends of the Fairgrounds and several local 4-H and FFA Students. This is your opportunity to learn more about one of Mariposa’s treasures and enjoy local treats.
Mariposa Friends of the Fairgrounds is a 501©3 non-profit organization comprised of volunteers from throughout our community who are dedicated to keeping our fairgrounds open. It is the mission of the Mariposa Friends of the Fairgrounds to preserve western heritage and promote agricultural education through support of the Mariposa Fairgrounds, and preserve the integrity, value and utility of our fairgrounds by providing for necessary maintenance, expansion and modernization. It is our intent to ensure that our fairgrounds continue to fulfill its many vital roles in our county and to preserve its place as a part of the fabric of our mountain community.
