February 8, 2021 - Noted Fresnan photographer Doug Morgan will present a program for the Mariposa Photo Club on Wednesday, February 10 at 6:30 P.M. via Zoom. It is available to the public. This local club sponsors a guest speaker each month and has been meeting via Zoom since last March. After the guest presentation members also have a photo share and critique.

Morgan got to his professional photography career later in life than most. First, he had a career as a CPA and CFO in the business world. Still, he managed to also study photography while working on his business degree.

After retirement Morgan picked up a digital camera, which is now a paperweight. He went on to shooting weddings, both large and small, commercial photography, magazine covers, head shots, and more. But for himself, he shoots landscapes.

“I am intrigued by light and how it can shape a scene,” says Morgan. His travels around the region and throughout the US have yielded many amazing photographs. Morgan’s presentation will discuss his approach to his photos and share many examples.

The Mariposa Photo Club welcomes anyone who loves photography, from beginners to experts. Post-Covid the meetings will be held in person. Memberships are available which entitle people to extra benefits. You can check out the club at their website, MariposaPhotoClub.com.
