February 8, 2021 - All the info you need and answers to your questions regarding Covid-19 will be presented by Dr. Eric Sergienko on Saturday, February 13 at 10:00 A.M. via Zoom. A link will be provided to anyone who wishes to participate in the meeting. You will be able to ask questions.

Dr. Sergienko serves as the Mariposa County Public Health Director and has been guiding the community through the response to the global pandemic. He first learned of Covid-19 on New Years Eve 2019 and went right to work formulating a plan. For the past six weeks he has been overseeing the population receiving the vaccine. Dr. Sergienko expects to have the latest updates on vaccines for the whole population and any impacts from Covid variants.

As a Naval officer (retired a few years ago) attached to the CDC, Dr. Sergienko has experience and a great deal of relevant knowledge to address what we all hope is a once in a lifetime pandemic. The county hired him to replace retiring Dr. Mosher and he and his family established themselves in Mariposa. He has worked non-stop, including weekends, since Covid-19 arrived in America. While attending to Mariposa’s needs, he also served as interim health officer for a couple other counties and was the interim Director of Health and Human Services for Mariposa.
