February 11, 2021 - The Fresno County Sheriff's Office reports on February 10th, sex crimes detectives with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office re-arrested 36 year old Jill Cox of Fresno. She was taken into custody at her home on the 1400 block of E. Princeton Ave. in Fresno. She has been booked into the Fresno County Jail for aiding and abetting a known felon and conspiracy to help a prohibited person possess firearms and ammunition. Cox was first arrested on February 4th on felony charges for conspiracy of ongoing sexual abuse of a child. She posted bond and bailed out of jail on February 5th. Her new bail amount is $115,000.

On February 4th, detectives served a search warrant at the house on E. Princeton Ave. This is where Jill Cox lived with her husband, Brent Cox, along with his girlfriend, 38 year old Tammy Schreiner. The three of them had an open relationship agreement (a.k.a. throuple). Schreiner was arrested that day and remains in the Fresno County Jail facing charges for conspiracy of ongoing sexual abuse of a child and oral copulation. She has a bail of $225,000.

On February 3rd, detectives made their first arrest of Brent Cox as part of this extensive investigation. Our office received information of Brent Cox committing sexual acts with a child; the daughter of a woman (Tammy Schreiner) he is dating. The investigation revealed Cox had been manipulating the 12 year old victim for months, grooming her so he could take advantage of her sexually. Detectives found evidence confirming multiple sexual acts had taken place over the course of several months. A further investigation showed Jill Cox and Schreiner were complicit in acts between Brent Cox and the young girl, so they too were arrested.

Since serving the search warrant at the suspects’ home on February 4th, detectives uncovered new evidence being stored at a separate location. This included guns and electronic devices. Detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force have conducted forensic tests on the electronics, which revealed the manufacturing of child pornography.

Brent Cox is currently in the Fresno County Jail facing multiple felony charges related to sexual assault of a minor and intimidating or dissuading a victim. This new evidence will introduce additional charges against him that include being a prohibited person in possession of firearms and ammunition, along with possession and manufacturing of child pornography. His bail is set at $495,000 for his original charges and will increase in the near future.

The victim was rescued in the early portion of this investigation and is in a safe place. This remains an ongoing investigation. As more evidence is analyzed, detectives expect the suspects will face additional charges and enhancements.
