February 22, 2021 - The Rotary Club of Mariposa Yosemite established a new program to honor Mariposa grocery workers and support local food and drink establishments by presenting $25 restaurant vouchers to every employee of High Country Health Foods and Pioneer Market.  A total of 94 vouchers were distributed.

“These grocery workers have been responsible for keeping the stores open and shelves stocked with needed food and supplies during this long pandemic, in spite of the added risk to themselves and family members of contracting Covid-19,” says Rotarian, Greg Harper.

Several local food/drink establishments were given the opportunity to partner with The Rotary Club to accept the $25 reimbursable vouchers, including 1850 Restaurant, Charles Street Dinner House, Little Shop of Ramen, Pizza Factory, The Alley, The Grove House, The Hideout, and Sticks Coffee.

Mr. Harper went on to say, “Rotary recognizes that many people in Mariposa County have worked tirelessly during this pandemic for our community.  For the Rotary Club of Mariposa Yosemite, this is a gesture to express appreciation for everyone’s efforts to get through this pandemic and make it more bearable and livable for all of us.  Thank you.”
