March 22, 2021 - The Madera County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) reports on Saturday, MCSO Deputy Wills and Sergeant Videgain were dispatched to the area of Persons Loop South and Road 416 in Coarsegold regarding a trespassing call.

Upon arrival, the property owner advised deputies of subjects squatting on his land and living inside of a tent trailer. Deputies located two adult subjects on the property, later identified as Jon Cabibi and Michelle Klein of Coarsegold.

During the course of their investigation, they discovered a stolen Harley Davidson motorcycle and a stolen Honda dirt bike in Cabibi’s possession. Deputies also located over a ¼ of a pound of methamphetamine, along with packaging material, and a digital scale.

Jon Cabibi, 46,  was arrested and booked into the Madera County Jail on several felony charges including possession of narcotics with the intent to sell and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Sheriff Tyson Pogue states, “Thanks to the thoroughness of Deputy Wills’ and Sergeant Videgain’s investigation, what could have been a simple order to vacate resulted in the recovery of stolen property and removal of drugs off of the streets of our community. I applaud their attention to detail and thank them for a job well done.”
