March 31, 2021 - HEMET, CA – California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) officials are looking for a minimum-security offender who walked away from Bautista Conservation CDCR BK9684 Marquiz Dunn 1Camp (CC #36) in Riverside County on March 29, 2021.

During an inmate count at around 9:50 p.m., staff discovered inmate Marquiz Dunn, 26, missing. A search of the camp buildings and grounds was immediately conducted. Dunn was last seen at 9:15 p.m. CDCR’s Office of Correctional Safety, CAL FIRE, and local law enforcement agencies have been notified and are assisting in the search.

Dunn is a Black male, 5’9 feet tall, weighing 133 pounds with brown eyes, and black hair. He was committed to CDCR on December 03, 2019, from Riverside County to serve a 5-year sentence for Robbery 2nd. He was scheduled to be released on August 2021. 

Anyone who sees Dunn should contact 911 or law enforcement authorities immediately. Anyone having information about or knowledge of the location of Dunn should contact Bautista Conservation Camp Commander P. Logan at (951) 927-3600. Since 1977, 99 percent of all offenders who have left an adult institution, camp or community-based program without permission have been apprehended.
