In studying the formation of the United States, each student chose a historical figure from the time period, researched that person, drew their character and placed him or her on a timeline, wrote a report and monologue, pieced together costumes and props, practiced, and then put on an amazing performances.

They were then welcomed into the wax museum five at a time to hear the dialogues (started by pressing a red button attached to each character). Students and visitors began with historical figures from the earliest section of the timeline and worked around the room.

By the end of their circuit around the room, visitors had a greater understanding of the timeline associated with the formation of the United States and the roles of historical figures crucial to the creation of our country. The student performances were such that the characters they represented stepped out of history with stories and personalities that impressed all who viewed them.
