Robyn Fry Returning as Northern Mariposa County Provider
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on May 3, 2021

April 17, 2021 - John C. Fremont Healthcare District announces construction completion of the north county clinic serving the communities of Greeley Hill, Coulterville, Lake Don JCF butterflyPedro, and Groveland. To mark the milestone, there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the completion on Monday, May 3, 2021. Robin Fry, known to many, will be returning as the northern county provider.

On April 14, 2019, a fire forced the shutdown of the clinic which is connected to the Greely Hill Market building. Since the fire, many discussions were had on how to bring the current clinic back to the community.

Brenda Forrest, North County community member and Board Director of John C. Fremont Healthcare District, said "After the fire it wasn't clear whether or not the building could be saved, and several options were considered for a replacement clinic.  When I learned that the clinic could be restored in its original space, I was thrilled.  I am so grateful for all of the hard work that the John C. Fremont team has put in to bringing our clinic back to us; and to have Robin Fry, Katie Baca, and Colleen McLean staffing the clinic is wonderful beyond words!  What a great day this is for our community!"

During the closure of the clinic, JCFHD was still providing care to their patients, by providing home visits pre-COVID-19 and tele-visits when COVID-19 hit.

“The district is in this for the long game. The clinic is not just a building, it is our commitment to the community, and we want to care for them today, and into the future.  I am grateful to everyone who worked so hard to make it happen,” said Matthew Matthiessen, CEO of the John C. Fremont Healthcare District.

There has been a lot of long days to complete the project.

Terry Woodward, the John C. Fremont Healthcare District’s  plant operations manager went on to say, “It is a wonderful feeling that after all the dedicated time and hard work, the district is able to once again provide these much-needed services to the Northern Mariposa county residents.”

JCF clinicRobin Fry, John C. Fremont Healthcare District’s provider said, “I heard the alarm go off on April 14, 2019. Our lives changed, most of us, in the greater Greeley Hill area.”

Robin Fry has been an employee of the District since November 2018. “I decided to travel with my wife and dog, but now I am back.  I am very happy to be back, and I look forward to seeing my patients.”

The outdoor, COVID-19 guideline ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the milestone will take place at 10 a.m. on May 3 and will be catered by the Coulter Café & General Store.  The address is 6386 Greeley Hill Rd, Coulterville, CA 9531.
