May 27, 2021 - Mariposa County High School held its Achievement Night for grades 9 through 11 on Tuesday, May 24, 2021. As part of the ceremony, sophomore and junior students who maintained a 3.5 grade point average or above for multiple semesters received Academic Letters. Juniors who had earned a letter the previous year and kept up their grade point average received bars to add to the letters.
The MCHS Academic Boosters Club sponsors the letters and bars. Students are first eligible to receive them sophomore year.
"Congratulations to all the students who, especially during this challenging school year, maintained a 3.5 or above," said ABC chair Jill Harry. "This is quite an accomplishment. Job well done, students!"
Senior Awards Night is Tuesday, June 1, 2021.
MCHS held separate ceremonies for each grade level. For the Academic Letters and bars, students were called up in small groups so they could maintain proper social distancing. Here, some students receive their letters.
