June 26, 2021 - Merced – Illegal Fireworks and ammunition were located by Merced PD Gang Unit Officers. On June 26th at approximately 3:26 P.M., Gang Unit Officer Rocha developed information regarding the location of known gang member Vue Xiong 30 years old.
Xiong had an outstanding warrant in Merced County for his arrest. Gang Unit Officers served a search warrant in the 1900 block of West Highway 140 and located Xiong. During a search of the residence, ammunition and 100 illegal fireworks (mortars) were located. Xiong was arrested for his outstanding warrant along with possession of ammunition by a convicted felon and possession of illegal fireworks.
