Update 6:28 P.M. Per Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office: River Fire - Mandatory Evacuation Orders have been reduced to a Fire Advisory.
All current Mariposa County River Fire Mandatory Evacuation Orders have been reduced to a Fire Advisory. This included Stumpfield Mountain Rd., Indian Peak Rd., and Oak Grove Rd. A Fire Advisory is NOT an evacuation order, we ask that you remain aware of fire activity and be prepared to leave should the fire conditions change. Per Madera County Sheriff's Office: An Evacuation Order has been issued for Road 600 between Apache Ranch Road and Blazing Saddle Trail including the spur road JWP Ranch Road due to the River Fire. There is an immediate threat to life. This is an evacuation order to leave now. The area is being closed to public access. Take action immediately. If you’re in need of evacuation assistance, call 9 1 1. An evacuation shelter has been established at New Life Christian Fellowship Church, 5089 Cole Road in Mariposa.
