July 13, 2021 - Journey along to see the wonders of Alaska with Dana Jones at the next meeting of the Mariposa Photo Club on Wednesday, July 14 at 6:30 P.M. via Zoom.

After an upbringing visiting state and national parks, Jones spent 28 years with the California State Parks working her way up to Northern Division Chief of Operations. After taking an early retirement Jones set out in an RV for two years to visit all the public spaces in the western United States and Canada, including Alaska.

“It was in Alaska that I first tried my hand at astrophotography and the wonder of the universe immediately captured my interest.  In photography I discovered a way to share that wonder with others,” said Jones.

Alaska, the land of unparalleled dramatic landscapes, will be the focus of the presentation. Jones will be able to answer questions about RV travel in that state and will share many of her amazing photographs.

After the presentation there will be a photo share from the membership.
