This “Bud’s” Not for You 

July 23, 2021 – Merced, CA – On July 23rd, 2021, Officer Jennifer Shaw and the MPD DART Unit located approximately 481 marijuana plants, with a street value of $700,000 at an indoor grow. Officer Shaw developed information regarding an indoor Marijuana grow in the 1200 block of Daylight Drive and she was able to obtain a search warrant for the residence. The DART team served the search warrant at the residence and discovered the entire house had been converted into grow rooms and areas for processing the finished product.

It is important to remember that even though Marijuana has been legalized in the State of California, there are still laws and regulations for the growing, processing, and consumption of Marijuana.

The city of Merced allows six (6) marijuana plants to be grown indoors, per residence.
