Join us at the Mariposa County Library on Saturday, May 16th at 1:00 p.m. and meet an extraordinary individual. Local author Dr. Carolyn Ruth Brent has led a rich and complex life. As a young woman, she worked on the Manhattan Project, where she met her first husband, with whom she had four children.
After completing her degree and teaching certificate she taught for four decades. She has been active in the international folk dance music as a dancer, musician, teacher, and writer. A woman of many interests, she has traveled widely.
Now over ninety, she still plays clarinet and does folk dancing. She has taught classes in memoir writing and numerous other topics. She received her PhD as a senior and has been an active learner throughout her life.
