As a child care provider you can set your own hours and pay while having a rewarding job making a difference in the lives of children in your community. While all ages are in need of care, there is currently a particular need for infant care, as many new mothers are returning to work.
Becoming licensed may be easier than you’d expect. The process entails some training in Preventive Health and Safety, ensuring your house is a safe environment for children of varying ages, and visits to your home from Community Care Licensing (the State licensing agency), both before and after the program is operational.
Should you choose to pursue your license, you will have the support of the ICES team for guidance, questions and needed training throughout the licensing process. We even have a program to reimburse the fees incurred during licensing and will happily refer families to you who are seeking child care, once you have obtained your license.
To find out more, please call ICES at: (209) 966-4474 and we will be happy to sit down with you and help you determine if child care is right for you!
