MPD grow

August 12, 2021 - Merced – On August 9, 2021, Officer Shaw of the DART Team developed information regarding two indoor marijuana grows in the 1100 block of Pinnacle Drive in Merced. The DART team located approximately 1,500 marijuana plants in various stages of growth and 35 pounds of processed marijuana with a street value of over 1.5 million dollars. Both houses had been converted into commercial style grow facilities filling all the rooms with plants. No suspects have been arrested at this time.

It is important to remember that even though cannabis has been legalized in California, there remain laws and regulations for safely growing and processing marijuana.

The city of Merced allows six (6) marijuana plants to be grown indoors per residence.

Case Number: 21-47850
