Sierra Foothill Charter School thanks Michelle Oldson for working with students to restore the mural outside the multipurpose room. The mural was painted by Catheys Valley Elementary students many years ago and shows local landmarks of historical interest. It means a lot to students and the community. Ms. Oldson worked with students in each classroom, a few students at a time, over a series of weeks. The first step was to gently sand away the peeling paint so that new paint had a solid surface to stick to. With Ms. Oldson's guidance, students then applied new paint. The restored mural looks wonderful. Celiana Lee, Tadd Sexton, and Khalil Neogy work with Michelle Oldson on the mural outside the multipurpose room.
