8/20/2021 COVID-19 Update:
We are saddened to report two (2) additional deaths in Mariposa County residents. Our hearts go out to their loved ones.

New case breakdown:
0 - 11 years old: 0
12 - 19 years old: 0
20 - 29 years old: 3
30 - 39 years old: 2
40 - 49 years old: 0
50 - 59 years old: 0
60 - 69 years old: 1
70 - 79 years old: 0
80 - 89 years old: 0
90+ years old: 0
3 of the cases reported today were unvaccinated and 3 are currently under investigation.
Mariposa County currently has 700 total cases, 85 of those are currently active with 9 hospitalized.

Avoid large gatherings, wear a face covering, and practice good hand hygiene and maintain social distance.

Avoid those who are sick, continue to socially distance, and avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
In addition, recognize symptoms early, stay home if you are sick, and cover your coughs and sneezes.

Who should Test: Fever, cough, shortness of breath.
Emergency warning signs include: Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, confusion or inability to arouse, bluish lips or face. If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19 get medical attention immediately. * This list is not all inclusive. Please consult your medical provider for any other symptoms that are severe or concerning. Please call ahead so that appropriate precautions can be taken.
Older patients and individuals who have severe underlying medical conditions or those with immunocompromised: contact your healthcare provider early, even if your illness is mild
COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS:
• Wash your hands regularly with soap and water for 20 seconds.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Stay away from work, school or other people if you become sick with respiratory symptoms such as fever and cough.
• Cover sneezes or coughs with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
