August 20, 2021 - Merced – Juvenile gang member arrested by the Merced PD Gang Unit in possession of a shotgun and ammunition. On Friday, August 20th at approximately 3:20 P.M., the Merced PD Gang Unit conducted a probation search in the 6900 block of Lawrence Ct. in Winton. Gang Unit Officer Valadez located a shotgun and ammunition in the juvenile’s bedroom. The juvenile is a documented gang member who is prohibited from possessing firearms.
The 17-year-old juvenile was arrested for firearms related charges and booked into juvenile hall.
