Update: Mariposa County Sheriff’s Office is actively searching for a shooting suspect - Kenny Patterson - White male, mid 20's medium build wearing a red or orange shirt.

August 23, 2021 - Mariposa County Sheriff's Office asks everyone to avoid the downtown area at this time, because of law enforcement activity.

Law Enforcement activity in the town area of Mariposa near the parking lot behind the Pizza Factory. Please avoid the area.

Shooting in the parking lot behind the Pizza Facory. This appears to be be an isolated incident.

Outstanding Suspect - Kenny Patterson, if you have seen him or know where he is DO NOT attempt to contact him please call 911 immediately. Please continue to avoid the area.

All school lockdowns have been lifted. No threat to any school site school occured. Deputies have secured the area and are actively searching the area.
